To ensure the stable supply of high-quality products, we offer our business partners guidance and support in areas such as quality, technology, and skills, as well as advice on improving operations at production sites. We also actively promote information exchange through the Toyo Denki Seizo Cooperation Association, whose members include our major business partners.

Policies and Guidelines for Procurement

Together with its business partners, the Toyo Denki Group contributes to the realization of a sustainable society by procuring raw materials and services for its products, as well as services that take into account the needs of society, including human rights and environmental considerations.

  1. Compliance with laws, regulations, and social norms
    We comply with the laws, regulations, and social norms applicable in the countries and regions where we conduct procurement activities.
  2. Respect for human rights
    We comply with international human rights standards and prohibit all forms of discriminatory practices, including forced labor and child labor.
  3. Consideration for the environment
    We take into account the impacts on climate change and biodiversity and engage in procurement activities aimed at reducing environmental impact.
  4. Quality
    We fulfill our responsibility as a supplier by prioritizing quality, complying with laws and regulations related to quality and safety applicable in the countries and regions where we conduct procurement activities, striving to maintain and enhance product quality, and providing products that meet safety standards.To this end, we establish and operate quality control systems for the procurement of raw materials and services, and comply with applicable laws and regulations and the requirements agreed upon by the Group concerning quality.
  5. Fostering business relationships for mutual growth
    We aim to foster relationships of trust and promote mutual growth by enhancing communication with our procurement partners and deepening mutual understanding.

    2. We engage in ongoing collaboration to meet the Group's quality standards and to strengthen technical capabilities in product manufacturing.
    3. We establish and maintain frameworks to ensure stable supply of products.
    4. We work to ensure sound and stable business operations that support ongoing transactions, while disclosing our management policies and performance.
    5. We refuse to accept entertainment exceeding social norms, personal monetary benefits, and inappropriate gifts from procurement partners.
  6. Occupational safety, sanitation, and health management
    We provide suitable work environments and engage in procurement activities that incorporate safety, sanitation, and health considerations for employees.In addition, by strategically implementing employee health management, we promote initiatives to revitalize the organization through improved employee vitality and productivity.
  7. Appropriate management of information
    To prevent information leakage, we appropriately manage and protect confidential information, personal information, and intellectual property rights between the Group and procurement partners, as well as within these partner companies.
  8. Responsible mineral procurement
    We promote initiatives to eliminate from our supply chain conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) that may contribute to funding armed groups involved in regional conflicts that result in serious human rights abuses.
  9. Chemical substance management
    We comply with laws and regulations regarding chemical substances and other materials that may pose risks to human health or the environment. Furthermore, we promote initiatives for proper management to ensure that substances are stored, used, and handled safely.
  10. Management of chemical substances contained in products
    We comply with laws and regulations concerning specific substances contained in our products and promote initiatives to ensure that they are properly managed.
  11. Association with antisocial forces
    As an organization, we take a resolute stance against any unreasonable demands from antisocial forces and refuse to engage in any business or other dealings with them.
