Denki Introduces New VF66 Series of Inverters
TOKYO, January 18, 2008 - Accompanying
the start of the first commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol, Toyo
Denki introduced a new lineup of inverters, the VF66 series, this month.
One of the main strengths of the VF66 series is its control mode switching,
a completely new feature. This new feature makes it possible for different
types of general-purpose motors (induction motors), inverter motors
(special-purpose induction motors), and permanent magnet synchronous
motors (Toyo Denki product name: ED Motor) to run by control mode switching.
When used with an ED motor, the VF66 series is particularly effective
in reducing CO2 emissions thanks to dramatically lower energy consumption.
Such a wide range of application selectability means Toyo Denki can
offer its customers the perfect energy-saving system for their environmental
initiatives, including energy saving and cost cutting.
The seven main characteristics of the VF66 series are as follows:

＜VF66 Series Rollout＞
Sales of 2.2 to 7.5kW (200V/400V class) models began in January 2008.
The 11kW to 315kW models will be introduced one by one starting in
June 2008.
